About

Originally from LaPlace, Louisiana, I have a deep love of local history and a passion for providing access to that history. I earned my MLIS from Simmons University and now reside outside of Boston. I’ve had many opportunities at Simmons and Northeastern University to engage with Boston’s history.

I’m currently the Reference and Reproductions Archivist at Northeastern University Archives and Special Collections (NUASC). In this role, I manage the reading room, work one-on-one with researchers of all experience levels, and support outreach initiatives for the department and University Advancement. I also engage regularly with processing work, providing feedback to my colleagues and orienting researchers on the proper use of finding aids.

I most enjoy working with the public to expand access to and understanding of primary sources. I have done so in NUASC’s reading room through individual reference interactions and small group instruction. I’ve also led the initiative to provide open access to the wealth of reference request scans that have been created since NUASC’s remote reference program was established in 2020.
